The Fans Want ‘Morbius’ To Return to the Theaters for the Third Time. Perhaps it’s about time for a third go-around.

Sony’s Morbius hopes to make a comeback after a dismal box-office run that fell well below expectations with the rerelease. After a disappointing run at the box office at the rerelease, fans are pleading with Sony to release the film for the third time in theaters.

The request has now been made into a Change.org petition by these fans, who claim to have a good sense of humor. The petition is on its way to achieving its goal of 10,000 signatures after currently, 9,947 people signed it. Ian Hinden, the fan who started the campaign, claims that the only reason why the first rerelease failed was that viewers were most likely “busy that weekend” on that particular weekend.

Despite the negative reviews that earned a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, fans are still interested in seeing the movie succeed at the box office, as shown by the petition. Hinden said, “If [Sony] were to once again release Morbius in theaters, just let us know, and we will be there for sure. Unless something comes up.” It remains to be seen whether or not Sony will release the second rerelease of Morbius in theaters.
