Model’s Career Ruined After Black Market Butt Injections

0

An aspiring model’s black market butt injections ruined her life and modeling career.

Several years ago, Aniva Cruz- Dilworth was a popular and successful plus-size model. The pictures of her cost fashion companies thousands of dollars. However, the former model, whose career ambition drove her to elective black market plastic surgery, suffers from nonstop physical and emotional pain, brought on by the loss of her career and a disfigured rear end.

The Huffington Post reports that Cruz-Dilworth, who will be appearing on Iyanla, Fix My Life this Saturday, never thought that her modeling career, would lead to such a horrible ending. She was signed with Wilhelmina and she was one of the most sought after models in the industry. But in order to stay competitive, the model decided that she needed a larger butt, so she did what many other models were doing when they couldn’t afford a plastic surgeon, she got fillers from an unlicenses practicioner who used products that should never go into a human body. “I was on a couch with a red cookout cup,” Cruz-Dilworth told Iyanla Vanzant. “I didn’t have the money, and I found someone that was affordable.”

Cruz-Dilworth reveals that the injections were so cheap and convient that they became an addiction whenever she saw an imperfection or dent. But while the model thought the injections would boost her career, they started holding her back.

“I wanted a modeling contract. I started getting butt injections… And then, I couldn’t keep the weight on anymore. I started slimming down,” Anivia says. “The butt was so big and the body was getting so small. I wasn’t booking anymore jobs because I couldn’t fit anything.”

Finally, to make things worse, Cruz-Dilworth’s butt began to hurt so much that she couldn’t even sleep at night. She was later diagnised with granuloma, which occurred after the silicon in her body began to spread through out her body, causing pain and developing masses throughout her body.

“My nerves are damaged because of it. I have scar tissue inside of me. I have severe swelling,” Anivia says. “I was maybe at about 42 inches around my hips, but now because of the swelling and inflammation, my hips are like a 47. This foreign substance is a part of me now.”

Cruiz-Dilworth, who has also been accused and charged for performing illegal plastic surgery on other women, knows that there’s nothing she can do but choose to accept her new body. And while she is no longer a model, she is using her story to inspire others not to get butt injections but accept their body. This story is a reminder of how dangerous surgery can really be.
