Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch will be sold and put on the real estate market.

Michael Jackson‘s notorious Neverland ranch will be sold a billionaire’s private investment firm. According to recent reports, Tom Barrack’s company, Colony Capital is looking into putting the Neverland Ranch on the market. The firm owned a majority of the property after a deal in 2007.

In 2007, Michael Jackson owed $23 million dollars to the private investment group, Fortress Investment and Colony Capital purchased the loan.

A representative for Michael Jackson‘s estate released a statement about sale of Neverland Ranch:

“We are saddened at the prospect of the sale of Neverland which, under the agreement negotiated during Michael’s lifetime, Colony has the right to sell.

“The estate will maintain Michael’s family home in Encino, including its iconic recording studio there… We hope and trust that any new owners of Neverland will respect the historical importance and special nature of this wonderful property.”

Michael Jackson bought the property in 1988 and lived there until he was accused of child molestation in 2004.

Vice, recently interviewed several photographers that broke into the Neverland Ranch Home. The photographers commented on the eeriness of the property:

Everything we saw was pretty weird. To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of Michael Jackson, but I knew that he was an important American historical figure. At the time, most people probably didn’t realize that he was part of history, and I knew that there was the potential for everything that was associated with him to be quickly lost. Without our documentation, I think it would’ve been a huge loss. So, I thought it was important to do that as quickly as we could, before it was gone.

The “urban-explorers” commented on what was the wierdest thing they saw on the property and it was a little boy dressed in pajamas.

“We haven’t really told anyone about it… OK, the strangest thing to me was the little boy in pajamas sitting on the moon logo, everywhere. Like, it amazes me how much it resembles the DreamWorks logo. That thing was painted on the ground, like, 60 feet wide. It was on the signs, on the bumper cars, it was on the coach station where they parked the coach, one on the ground.”
