Marvel’s Doctor Strange is now filming in New York City.
According to On Location Vacations, over the past few weeks, no parking signs for Checkmate have been popping up around New York City, and it’s for the new Marvel movie, Doctor Strange.
Most of the movie will film at Pinewood-Shepperton Studio in the UK, starting in December, but movie star Benedict Cumberbatch and crew have been spotted filming in Nepal, and now New York City.
Dr. Strange was expected to film under the title Eye See You but, while filming in Nepal, all of the casting calls were posted for a movie called Checkmate. But, according to sources close to OLV, Doctor Strange, is now filming under the name of Checkmate and filming in NYC.
Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Doctor Strange stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Mads Mikkelsen also star in Dr. Strange.
