Man Reportedly Dies After Riding a Roller Coaster at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

A mandatory quarterly report for major theme parks revealed a death of a middle-aged man at Disney World in Orlando Florida among other weird occurrences and injuries from theme parks across the country.

According to reports, a 54-year-old man died last February following a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. She reportedly had a pre-existing condition, collapsed on the ride, and eventually died while at a local hospital. A spokeswoman for the Medical Examiner’s Office told the Orlando Sentinel’s death was not a case they handled, which likely shows he died of natural causes.

Also, I woman fell and fractured her leg while boarding the Frozen Ever After a ride at Epcot, and a 30-year-old man was hit in the head while riding Animal Kingdom’s Expedition Everest.

Meanwhile, at Universal Studios, a 60-year-old woman had a seizure while on the Revenge of the Mummy ride at Universal Studios.

In the first quarter from January through March, Disney has reported a total of 11 major injuries and illnesses. Injuries range from death or hospital stay of 24 hours or more.

At the end of the day, for a resort answer theme park that has millions upon millions of people visiting every week, it seems likely that once in a while someone could get hurt.
