It is expected that Lindelof will co-write the script with another writer, though their partner is still unknown. According to sources close to the project, the writing is currently being worked on, and it was imperative for Lucasfilm and Lindelof that their choice of director would be able to bring their vision for the story to life. The main plotline is still guarded and remains one of Hollywood’s best-kept secrets.

Obaid-Chinoy has had great success with directing previous episodes of Ms. Marvel. With her well-known relationship with Disney, it only makes sense that she continues her work with Lucasfilm.

The 2019 film Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker was the last one in the franchise. There has yet to be any information about when another movie will come out.
