Jared Leto Practiced His Joker Laugh on Strangers [VIDEO]

Jared Leto tried out his joker laugh on strangers.

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is probably known more for Jared Leto’s method acting quirks than the actual plot of the movie. And as we draw closer and closer to the release of Suicide Squad we are getting a deeper look into the mind of seriously committed method actor.

In an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box, Leto didn’t just practice his acting on set but he stayed in character off set. Leto tells CNBC that he tried out different versions of his Joker laugh around complete strangers in NYC and Toronto, testing which laughs would effectively get under people’s skin.

Here’s what Leto says:

“I worked on the laugh walking around the streets of New York and Toronto, and I kinda would walk around the streets and see what laugh would get under people’s skin. You know when you hear someone laugh at a restaurant? It’s a little jarring. I tried them out. And I kind of got to a place where I would laugh and people are always turning around like, ‘Who is this creepy guy behind me?’”
