HBO is developing a Coronavirus Vaccine Limited-Series.

Deadline reports HBO is working on a limited-series drama on the Coronavirus COVID-19. The series will be based around the book ‘The First Shot’, which is authored by The Atlantic and The New York Times writer Brendan Borrell. The non-fiction book focuses on a global race to find a vaccine. It looks into how far companies and people will go to save lives, the science behind finding vaccines, and the challenges including politics that prevent the vaccine from reaching the masses.

The show is currently titled “Untitled Vaccine Project” and will be produced by HBO’s ‘Succession’s Adam McKay, alongside Todd Shulman and Borrell himself.

It is important to note, Borrell has written a lot of stories surrounding vaccinations. Other publications include ‘The Dire Diplomacy of the Global ‘Race for a Vaccine’ for Wired as well as other content for National Geographic and Science Magazine.
