Apparently, Warner Bros. is interested in bringing the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to movie theaters as soon as 2020. Though whether or not the film’s 27-year-old star will return is anyone’s guess.

Radcliffe has said in the past that he wants to “keep some distance” between himself and the iconic character. While he hasn’t said that he wouldn’t do another movie, Radcliffe, has evolved since the last Harry Potter movie.

From NY Daily News:

“Warners is secretly working on getting the movie rights and a screenplay settled, and of course in their minds only one man should be Harry,” according to a well-placed Hollywood source. “However he has made it clear that his mind is certainly not focused on returning to the role anytime soon — and that could be until he hits 40.”

If Daniel Radcliffe does decided not to return to the Harry Potter franchise, expect Warner Bros. to start casting another actor to replace Radcliffe especially considering the recent how poorly the recent DC comics movies have done in the past.

So, if you’re interested in a role in the Harry Potter movie, you better call your agent right now because, Hollywood is currently holding secret meetings about the future of the Wizarding World.
