Warner Bros. is now developing a Harley Quinn movie starring Margot Robbie.
According to reports, the new movie will not be a solo Harley Quinn movie but will focus on several female DC characters including Batgirl, Poison Ivy and Birds of Prey.
This news comes just a few months before the premiere of Suicide Squad, which features Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The details surrounding the production have been kept top-secret with the Hollywood Reporter reporting that DC has not even revealed the name of the screenwriter.

Details are being closely guarded but names such as Batgirl and Birds of Prey have surfaced, although in what capacity, it’s not clear. Warner Bros. isn’t commenting.
There is also a scribe penning the script but those details, too, are being kept secret, although it is known that the writer is female.
There are a ton of female comic book characters DC can choose from including Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Katana and Bumblebee.
It’s important to point out that Harley Quinn is probably one of the most popular characters in the DC franchise right now. According to reports, fans have purchased more Harley Quinn merchandise than Wonder Woman comic books.
