A depressed Morgan Freeman returns to movie set.

A grieving Morgan Freeman returned to his Brooklyn movie set on Tuesday only two days after his granddaughter was killed on a Manhattan sidewalk.

An off-duty cop followed the Oscar winning actor onto the set of his new movie “Going in Style,” a remake of the 1979 film about three retirees who pull off a bank heist.

From Page Six:

Freeman bowed his head and stared at the ground without saying a word before joining co-stars Alan Arkin and Michael Caine aboard a bus on set.

Crews filmed for the next several hours, driving through the Brooklyn neighborhood while Freeman stared soberly out of the bus window.

Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, was killed at the hands of her drug crazed boyfriend Sunday morning. She was stabbed 16 times a few feet away from the apartment she shared with her ex-boyfriend in Washington Heights.

Her alleged killer, Lavar Davenport, 30, snapped out of his psychosis and instead asked for an attorney. Davenport was then transferred from the psychward to Bellevue, where he is likely to be arraigned in the next couple of days, according to reports.
