FXX Picks Up Tracy Morgan Series, Renews ‘Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ for Two More Seasons

Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been picked up for two seasons and creators will produce a new TV series featuring Tracy Morgan.

According to Variety, RCG Productions have landed a huge deal that will allow them 20 additional episodes and a new television series.

Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton and their RCG Productions have closed an expansive three-year overall production deal with FX Productions that not only guarantees them two more 10-episode seasons of their cult comedy “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” but also a series order for a half-hour comedy starring Tracy Morgan (which they are developing with “New Girl’s” Luvh Rakhe), several script deals, and a comedy pilot order.

RCG Productions and Rakhe will work as executive producers and showrunners on the Tracy Morgan series which has a 10 episode order and is scheduled to premiere early next year.
