Despite people saying Fuller House sucksNetflix has ordered a second season of the rebooted series.

According to Variety, Fuller House has been renewed for a second season at Netflix. The new season comes only days after the series first premiered on Netflix.

Even though many people hated the show, the show’s revival sparked a social media frenzy which most likely caused an uptick in subscribers for the streaming giant. However, Netflix, which never chooses to release the ratings for their TV shows, will not reveal how many people actually watched the series.

Fuller House comes from Full House creator Jeff Franklin. The 13-episode series is a modern-day spinoff of the beloved 1990s sitcom, revolving around widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who is raising her three sons with the help of her younger sister Stephanie Tanner and childhood friend Kimmy Gibler.

According to reports, Netflix tried to persuade the Olsen twins to return to the show. “I tried. We all tried to persuade them to come and play. They decided not to at this time. We’re hopeful at some point in the future, they may change their minds and reprise Michelle. We only need one of them!”

Apparently, the Full House sequel was pitched in Hollywood for over a decade.

“I was pitching to networks that ‘Full House’ reruns were beating every night … For some reason, a whole bunch of networks didn’t understand the hunger that was out there for this show. It was baffling me. Netflix finally stepped up, and that’s why it’s happening now.”
