‘Empire’ ratings drop 30% on Thanksgiving Eve.

Fewer people sat down in front of their TV’s on Wednesday as Empire ratings drop 30%. According to reports, Thanksgiving Eve gave Empire some of their worst ratings in over a year.

According to THR, the Fox drama dropped 30% to a 3.1 rating among adults 18-49. But, Empire was not alone as several other TV shows facing similar TV rating numbers. For example, ratings dropped 18 percent.

Empire is currently averaging 9.1 million viewers, and is easily the biggest show on TV on Wednesday nights.

But, is this issue bigger than just the holiday season? Last week hundreds of fans bashed season 2 of Empire calling it boring, stupid and worse than last year.

‘Empire’ centers around a hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders’ family as they fight for control of the company. The hour-long family drama was created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, and stars Terrence Howardand Taraji P. Henson.
