Dennis Quaid’s Movie Set Rant a Publicity Stunt?

Jimmy Kimmel says he had nothing to do with Dennis Quaid’s movie set rant.

When a video of Dennis Quaid went viral yesterday many people suspected Jimmy Kimmel was involved. Whenever a video goes viral people automatically suspect Kimmel. However, this time the late night host says it wasn’t him.

“I have to say, it’s disappointing. You play 50 pranks and suddenly people don’t trust you anymore.”

It’s been more than a year since Kimmel’s reputation-making “worst twerk fail ever” hoax, but the fear of getting Punk’d has made the world very suspicious of Kimmel’s antics. But, is Kimmel lying? Is this what he wants us to think, so he can finally strike again when we least suspect it?

Either way, Dennis Quaid was interviewed by TMZ and reporters think that it was just a publicity stunt.

From TMZ:

The timing of the announcement seems convenient … coming the day after the video of Dennis ranting — allegedly on a movie (or TV) set — goes viral.

Our photog asked Quaid to tell us the truth about the vid — and while he said very little … check out the smile.

For the record, a Crackle spokesperson says they had nothing to do with the viral clip.

To add fuel to the fire, Dennis Quaid’s rant arrived shortly after his brother’s bizarre sex tapes leaked online and it is really similar to Christian Bale’s argument with the director of photography a few years ago.
