Dave Chapelle ended his memorable Saturday Nights Live monologue last November in a serious tone. He began by thinking departing Pres. Obama and offered a hopeful message to the newly elected Donald Trump. It was a powerful statement following the divisive election. “I’m gonna wish Donald Trump luck, and I’m going to give him a chance, and we the historically disenfranchised demand that he give us one too,”  Chapelle said.

This was weeks before Donald Trump entered the White House. But over hundred days into the Trump’s leadership of America, Dave Chapelle is having second thoughts.

According to NBC’s Willie Geist, Chapelle showed regret over his statement while on stage at the Robin Hood benefit in New York City on Tuesday. According to Geist, Chappelle said he “f**ked” up when he told the world to give “Trump a chance.”

Chapelle is definitely not the first person to change their position on the president, but he is probably one of the most famous. It also shows how the administration’s leadership is affecting people standing in the middle of the aisle. Most of the decisions that have drawn criticism include allegations time Donald Trump to Russia.
