Daniel Craig: I Have No Plans on Quitting After ‘Spectre’

Daniel Craig says he has no plans on quitting the James Bond franchise after Spectre.

The new movie will be his fourth appearance in the role and there has been persistent rumors as to who should be the next actor to fill Daniel Craig’s shoes.

Bond is probably one of the most sought after acting jobs in Hollywood and Daniel Craig has had it for at least nine years. After he suggested that Skyfall would be his last movie, speculation went wild as to who should be next to order a Martini shaken but not stirred.

Homeland actor Damian Lewis was recently reported to have been given an “unofficial” job offer for the role.

However, Daniel Craig told the Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine that he is not ready to step away just yet and he is contracted for one more film.

“I work myself to death,” the actor said: “It’s getting harder. But such is life. I’ll keep going as long as I’m physically able.

“I’m contracted for one more – but I’m not going to make predictions.”

Idris Elba and David Oyelowo have been linked with the role, however former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, recently predicted a “white male” would get the job.

In addition, The Man from Uncle’s Henry Cavill is also thought be in the running to be the next James Bond, while Tom Hardy, Nicholas Hoult, Aidan Turner and Michael Fassbender have been circled as the next actor to replace Daniel Craig.

Spectre hits theaters in October and stars Christoph Waltz, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista and Andrew Scott alongside Craig as Bond.
