Christian Bale is getting his acting chops ready as he is in talks to star in Michael Mann’s new movie, about Italian car maker Enzo Ferrari.
The untitled Ferrari movie will premiere at Venice and Toronto film festivals. Mann will direct the film after it was stuck in development hell for several years. The movie will follow the rise of the Ferrari as a luxury car in the 1950s.
Christian Bale and Michael Mann have worked in the past. Previously, the two filmmakers worked on the Johnny Depp mobster movie Public Enemies where Bale played FBI agent Melvin Puris.
Christian Bale most recently starred in the highly controversial Exodus: Gods and Kids and will appear in the next Adam McKay’s financial drama The Big Short which filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Currently, Christian Bale is shooting the Terry George movie The Promise alongside Oscar Isaac.
Michael Mann’s last movie Blackhat featured Chris Hemsworth which was a minor hit in the Box Office.
