According to TheWrap, Gibson, who was also directing the episode, was suspended for two episodes. From TheWrap:

“There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement,” the actor told us in a statement. “I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and always will.”

A source told TheWrap that there were no injuries or bruising. However, it’ s important to point out that Criminal Minds has had their fair share of controversy this year. Just a few weeks ago, the show’s casting director was let go after a scathing report revealed how casting directors charged actors for “acting workshops”, which were reportedly illegal and against the Los Angeles Krevorkian Act.

I guess fiction imitates reality, especially on set of Criminal Minds.
