Cara Delevigne reveals her personal battle with depression.
Even though Cara Delevigne is one of the most sought after models turned actors in the entertainment industry, the actress revealed that she has been battling with depression these last couple of years.
The 23-year-old actress,Cara Delevigne, opened up about her ongoing with depression during this year’s Women in the World Summit, where she was interviewed by actor Rupert Everett.
Cara Delevigne, a nervous actress dressed in Saint Laurent, revealed that despite the fame, success and all of the perks of being an A-list actress doesn’t always lead to a lifetime of happiness.
Cara Delevigne reveals her darkest days…
After reading a poem Cara Delevigne wrote in the darkest days in her depression last year, Delevingne opened up about her childhood. At 15,Cara Delevigne began to feel the effects of depression starting to affect her everyday life. “I pushed myself so far — it got to the point where I had a bit of a mental breakdown,” Cara Delevigne said. “I got to the point where I went a bit mad. I was completely suicidal. I didn’t want to live anymore. I thought that I was completely alone.”
The Entertainment Industry may have caused her depression.
The taxing life of a full-time model surrounded by hounding handlers led to psoriasis breakouts, exhaution, and struggling to find time to exercise and write. Cara Delevigne then started to focus on the entertainment industry and the damaging effects of being popular today and hated tomorrow. Cara Delevigne ultimately noted that she wanted to bring the struggles of mental illness to forefront.
Cara Delevigne “bisexual” controversy…
Earlier this summer Cara Delevigne admitted that she struggled with depression during her childhood in a Vogue magazine. However, many of her revelations were overshadowed by the controversial comments who said that  Delevingne’s bisexuality was a “phase.”
