According to reports, Keanu Reeves turned down the role of Yon-Rogg in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie.

During an interview with Charles Murphy on The Hashtag Show podcast, Reeves reveals he was initially cast to play the role, but due to contract obligations, he was forced to decline and work on the next John Wick Movie, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Consequently, actor Jude Law was cast as Yon-Ragg. That said, maybe fans can expect to see Keanu Reeves in other superhero roles in the future since Marvel and Reeves both expressed interest in working together.

Meanwhile, during Super Bowl LIII, Marvel studios released a TV trailer for Captain Marvel. The trailer takes a look at the next generation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the phrase “higher, further, faster” repeated in the background.
