Netflix will premiere the upcoming “Breaking Bad” movie.

The most popular way to watch “Breaking Bad” is arguably on Netflix, where five seasons of the two-time Emmy Winner for Outstanding Drama series are available to be viewed at any time. So it is only fitting that the upcoming “Breaking Bad” movie will be reportedly released on Netflix, then AMC, where the show premiered.

Deadline reports “that the two networks may have their roles reversed, with Netflix taking a first window and AMC second.” In 2013, creator Vince Gilligan thanked Netflix for keeping “ us on the air” during an acceptance speech at the Emmys.  “Not only are we standing up here [with the Emmy], I don’t think our show would have even lasted beyond season two,” he said. “It’s a new era in television, and we’ve been very fortunate to reap the benefits.”

Netflix has not commented on the report.

Details for the project have not been released. But according to Deadline, “the script is being shot as a feature, though it has not been determined yet how it will air, as a film or cut into episodes.” That said, it’s shooting in “familiar locations” and there are chances the original cast members including Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston and more may show up.
