Beyonce and Jay Z reportedly donated thousands of dollars to bail out Baltimore protestors.

Beyonce and Jay Z are not like most billion dollar couples. Behind making chart topping hits and selling millions of records, the musically inclined family is always under intense scrutiny. Many argue that Jay Z is in the illuminati and uses his power to control the music industry and the world. Other’s claim that Beyonce is a god and there is an actual religion dedicated to the “Queen Bee”.

But, beyond these outrageous rumors Beyonce and Jay-Z are giving back to the community. According to dream hampton, the billion dollar couple have donated “tens of thousands,”  to bail out protestors from each city after they were taken to jail. She says they’d simply wire the cash whenever requested and asked that their involvement be kept quiet.

Here are a few tweets Dream Hampton released on Twitter:

She was later told to quit posting on twitter:

welp, I just got the ‘can you shut the fuk up & head to brunch’ text. Gonna erase my error ridden rant. Hope you got your little screenshot

Well-known civil rights activist Shaun King wrote about Jay Z’s dedicated for giving back in December, and felt the need to mention it on Twitter himself last night after Jay-Z’s Tidal freestyle went viral. It was then Shaun alleged that Jay Z had “given financially to people working on the ground in Ferguson”. King also points out that Jay Z pays for tuition for the children of Sean Bell, more than eight years after his death.

Despite selling millions of records it is clear that Beyonce and Jay Z give back to the community not for publicity, or to make more money but, to actually help people in need.
