Benedict Cumberbatch sounds pretty excited to be playing Doctor Strange in the upcoming Marvel movie. The actor spoke on Sunday for the first time about the role since Marvel confirmed the news last week that Cumberbatch will star in the 2016 feature film, Doctor Strange.

“It’s a thrilling gig to get — I just can’t wait,” Cumberbatch told Hey U Guys at the 2014 British Independent Film Awards, where he had been nominated for best actor for Imitation Game.
Benedict Cumberbatch also revealed that he was “excited, really excited” to play the Marvel sorcerer but he couldn’t reveal any details about the upcoming production. He did say that the has a lot of work to do ahead of the project.
