Background Actor Removed From ‘Wonder Woman 2’ Set After Taking Photos

Casting company reveals how far it will go to prevent Wonder Woman 2 spoilers from leaking.

According to Marinella Hume Casting, the casting company behind Wonder Woman 2, also known as Wonder Woman 1984. Someone was reportedly removed from the set of the show.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, we are NOT kidding about taking photographs on set. Today someone was sadly removed from set!”, the casting company wrote on Facebook. Adding, “Please don’t spoil this amazing project for anyone.”

The extras casting company later added, “WE HOPE YOU HAVE A FUN AND PROFESSIONAL DAY. BUT REMIND YOU THAT NO PHOTOGRAPHY, RECORDING OR POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA IS PERMITTED. IF FOUND TO BE IN BREACH OF CONTRACT LEGAL ACTION MAY BE TAKEN. HELP US TO KEEP THE SECRETS SAFE.”

This is not the first time someone got in trouble for taking photos on the set of a popular TV show or movie. Three years ago on the set of Batman v. Superman, a background extra faced a $5 million lawsuit for leaking spoilers. 

The background extra revealed that he signed a confidentiality agreement with Warner Bros. when he began working on the film and that if he’s caught breaking the agreement he could be fined $5 million.

Warner Bros. has a history of going above and beyond to protect their movie from spoilers.

According to reports, filming for the upcoming feature film Wonder Woman 2, also known as Wonder Woman 1984, is now filming in Alexandria, Virginia under the working title of “Magic Hour”.

The Governor of Virginia broke the news on Wednesday that the upcoming sequel to the 2017 box office hit movie Wonder Woman, will be filming for several weeks in Alexandria, Virginia this spring and early summer.

“We are delighted to welcome the Wonder Woman team to Virginia,” said Governor Ralph Northam. “We are confident that this trailblazing project will find a perfect home in Alexandria, and look forward to the super impact it will have on our economy and the continued growth of Virginia’s lucrative production industry.”

The sequel centers around Wonder Woman who squares off against Cheetah, a villain who possesses superhuman strength and agility. The new movie stars Gal GadotChris Pine, and Kristen Wiig.
