Avatar: The Way of Water‘ has become the seventh highest-grossing film ever after its astounding success at the box office. Having earned a whopping $1.7 Billion, it surpasses ‘Jurassic World’ and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon!

Avatar: The Way of Water has proven to be a tremendous success, far exceeding initial estimates. Director James Cameron declared that the fourth and fifth Avatar films would go into production due in part to their incredible financial performance. Continuing its winning streak, the film dethroned Jurassic World as the seventh top-grossing movie ever at an astounding $1.7 billion worldwide!

In just thirty days since its debut, The Way of Water has earned an astonishing $517 million in the United States and Canada. Abroad it took home a remarkable figure of $1.19 billion! It is now officially pinned to position five on the list for highest international box office returns, closely behind beloved films such as Avatar’s original installment, Titanic, Avengers: Endgame, and Infinity War. Even more so stunningly enough, this production is currently crowned 2022’s top earner – second only to Avatar 2 when assessing pandemic-era performance statistics too!

The Way of Water is well on its way to surpassing Spider-Man: No Way Home, which currently holds the sixth-highest box office record with $1.91 billion. With its skyrocketing success, this second installment may reach an unprecedented global total of more than $2 billion!
