Atlanta’s Film Industry Surprisingly Loses Another Major TV Show

Lifetime has decided to pull the plug on the Georgia filmed TV series, Devious Maids. 

After filming for four seasons in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Lifetime has decided to end the series.

According to Deadline, Devious Maids didn’t have great ratings.

“The ratings have slipped in each consecutive season, with the most recent fourth season averaging 0.923 million viewers (L+SD).”

However, according to reports, the show had a pretty consistent but the show has been consistent. In fact, Devious Maids had twice as many viewers as the recently renewed UnReal series.

Devious Maids centers on four Latina maids working in the homes of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families, and a newcomer who made it personal after a maid was murdered and determined to uncover the truth behind her demise, and in the process become an ally in their lives. The show’s cast includes Ana Ortiz as the lead character, and Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem, and Judy Reyes as other maids, with Susan Lucci, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Brianna Brown, Brett Cullen, Mariana Klaveno, and Grant Show in feature main roles.

This news comes after The CW cancels the long-time running and Georgia filmed production The Vampire Diarieswhich is currently filming their last season as we speak.
