Universal has retitled Tom Cruise’s new movie Mena and moved the movie’s release to 2017.

The Atlanta filmed movie is now called “American Made” and is directed by Doug Liman. The movie made headlines last year when a plane transferring crew members on set in Columbia crashed, killing two people on board.

The movie will now hit theaters on September 29th. The movie’s script was written by Gary Spinelli and Tom Cruise will star alongside Domhnall Gleeson and Lola Kirke.

‘American Made’ is based on a true story about Barry Seal, a pilot who, in the 1980s was a gun runner, and drug trafficker who transported contraband for the CIA and Medellin cartel. He was eventually shot and killed in Baton Rouge. The title of the movie comes from Mena, Arkansas where a majority of the drug trafficking took place under the noses of several presidents and governors.
