The Atlanta filmed Christian movie ‘90 Minutes in Heaven‘ will donate all proceeds to local charities.

Producers of 90 Minutes in Heaven, the Atlanta filmed Christian movie, plans to donate all of their earnings to local charities, according to WSBTV. “Life gives us circumstances sometimes beyond our control,” film producer Rick Jackson said.

90 Minutes in Heaven is an adaptation of the bestselling book about a Baptist pastor who was pronounced dead after a devastating car accident — only to come out of it an hour and a half later fully recalling a vision of heaven — the film has been scripted and will be directed by Michael Polish.

From WSBTV:

“90 Minutes in Heaven” is his first movie. It’s based on the true story of a preacher who died in a car accident and then came back.

Organizations like Faithbridge Foster Care based in Alpharetta are in line to benefit from the box office.

“It was pretty exciting to think that such a big idea has so quickly come to fruition,” Faithbridge Director Bill Hancock said.

Jackson hopes the movie will mean more than just the money to the foster children he hopes to help.

“They’re concerned about what their life is going to be. Does anybody love me? And so, I’m hoping this film will give them hope and faith,” Jackson said.

90 Minutes in Heaven hits theaters on September 11th and features Hayden Christensen and Kate Bosworth. Earlier this week, producers held a special premiere for a group of foster kids allowing them to see the movie for free at the world-famous Fox Theater in Atlanta.
