Atlanta Filmed ’24: Legacy’ Canceled After Only One Season

0

After only one season, Fox has decided to pull the plug on 24: Legacy.

The Georgia filmed production will not return for a second season despite averaging 17.6 million viewers following the Super Bowl. However, ratings plummeted and lost over 10 million viewers by the series final episode as the show ended with 6.3 million total viewers.

Even though 24: Legacy will not be back, Fox is talking with 24 producers for a new anthological spin on the franchise. The network is confident that 24 will return and will be built around the famous storytelling device. But, the show will not include Hawkins.

The original 24 franchise ran for eight seasons before getting rebooted with the show’s original star Kiefer Sutherland for event series 24: Live Another Day. Legacy followed that series, but it was built around Hawkins.
