Atlanta Creates Program to Train People for the Film and TV Industry

Atlanta is teaming up to develop a fast-tracking program to get people jobs in technical positions in the film and television industry.

The Atlanta Workforce Development Agency (AWDA) and the City of Atlanta Film Office are partnering with the International Alliance of Stage and Television Workers union (IATSE) to develop a program fast-tracking people into technical positions in the film and television industry.

THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED AND PRODUCERS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

Please provide names and info of the best of the best who might be interested. They only want the best for the pilot, which if successful will open the door to many others. 

The requirements are simple:
1. Strong interest in the industry
2. Willingness to work long hours
3. Ability to provide own transportation/vehicle
4. Good soft skills; comfortable in a professional setting
5. Interest in applying previous skills to a role on a film set

Here are some of the types of skills they’re seeking:
· Carpenter
· Welder
· Electrician
· Painter
· Sound technician
· Video engineer
· Set designer
· Office admin
