Andrew Garfield has been cast in the small series Hot Air, which chronicles the life and times of Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group. Deadline is reporting that the British actor will be joining the streaming series that follows Richard Branson’s rise to wealth through the creation of Virgin Airways, according to a new report.

Based on the book by Martyn Gregory, Deadpool 2’s David Leitch will direct along with writer Jon Croker, whose previous projects include Paddington 2.

By 1990, Branson had become a problem for British Airways, having obtained landing slots at London Heathrow Airport after only one leased plane. British Airways launched a “dirty tricks” campaign to undermine competition by having its employees impersonate Virgin workers and persuade passengers to select BA instead. Despite these measures, Virgin Records has continued to flourish into the corporation it is today.

Unfortunately, there is no release date for Hot Air yet. Those who are interested should continue to watch for news updates.

Andrew Garfield is an English-American actor. He is best known for his role as Spider-Man in the Amazing Spider-Man films. He has also starred in films like The Social Network, Hacksaw Ridge, and Silence.
