Man Who Inspired ‘American Pie’s Steve Stifler Found Guilty of Murder

The guy who inspired American Pie’s Steve Stifler was found guilty of murder.

Brian Krebs, 42, was convicted of the 2011 murder of Jimmy Pagano. According to reports, Krebs stabbed a man in the neck during a fight in Fort Lauderdale. He argued with the bartender after he fell $2 short of his $8 check. Five years later, Krebs was convicted for murder. According to Daily Mail, Krebs went to highschool with Adam Herz, the movie’s screenwriter was and was the motivation and character behind Steve Stifler.

Herz admitted he has not seen Krebs since high school and insists Stifler was a compound of the traits of his fellow students.

The first movie in the hit American Pie feature film hit theaters in 1999 and became an instant hit. Steve Stifler played played a hard-drinking, womanizing lacrosse player for the fictional East Great Falls High. The character showed up again in American Pie 2 in 2001 and again in American Wedding in 2003. He then returned in American Pie: Reunion in 2012 with the original cast.
