Professional clown clubs hate the new season of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’.
The FX series which showcases a serial killer named Twisty the Clown who imprisons children, kills innocent teens, and terrorizes the people he comes into contact with.
Despite having some of the highest ratings in FX history, many real clowns see nothing entertaining about American Horror Story: Freak show. According to the Hollywood Reporter,the nation’s biggest clown club hates the new season.
“Hollywood makes money sensationalizing the norm,” bemoans Glenn Kohlberger, president of Clowns of America International, the nation’s biggest clown club. “They can take any situation no matter how good or pure and turn it into a nightmare.”
“We do not support in any way, shape or form any medium that sensationalizes or adds to coulrophobia or ‘clown fear,’ ” Kohlberger says.
Ryan Murphy the co-creator of American Horror Story, argues that this season of American Horror Story: Freak Show will be the most terrifying season yet. That is not good news for all of the clowns out there.
