AMC’s ‘TURN’ Renewed for Season 2

AMC announced on Monday that their will be a season 2 to the Revolutionary War thriller, Turn.

TURN, averaged 2 million viewers a week during the first season. The season finale had a boost in ratings with 2.2 million viewers tuning in on June 8th. According to Deadline, producers plan to air ten new episodes next spring.

TURN features Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Kevin R. McNally, Meegan Warner, Burn Gorman, Angus MacFadyen, JJ Feild and Samuel Roukin.

“AMC and its creative partners have a track record of nurturing programs we collectively believe in, patiently growing viewership and engagement over time,” AMC President Charlie Collier said in announcing the pickup. “With Turn, once again we dive in with our partners to build upon this very promising first season.”

Turn centers on Abe Woodhull, a farmer living in British-occupied Long Island. He works with his childhood friends to form the Culper Ring. Together they risk their lives to fight for what they believe in. Ultimately helping George Washington win the Revolutionary War. Their efforts are the start of espionage in the United States.

TURN is executive produced by Craig Silverstein (Nikita), who also works as the showrunner.

The series was filmed throughout Virginia. Arvold Casting posted several casting calls for extras, stand-ins, and speaking roles in the series. We will keep you updated as soon as new opportunities are announced.
