Filming for Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass has started filming in London’s Shepperton Studios.
According to reports, the upcoming Alice in Wonderland 2 centers on Alice as she travels through time in her new adventures.
Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway are all reprising their original roles. But, Sacha Baron Cohen and Rhys Ifan will be joining the cast for the sequel.
Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, and Michael Sheen will also provide voiceovers for the roles of Cheshire Cat, the Blue Caterpillar, and the White Rabbit.
The 3D film will hit theaters in May 2016, six years after the release of the original Alice in Wonderland feature film. The original movie made over $1 billion at the global box office and won two Academy Awards for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design.
