The ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike has significantly affected numerous film and TV productions, as actors have taken to the picket line to voice their demands. While some sets were already halted due to the WGA writer’s strike, the actors’ strike has further intensified the slowdown in Hollywood as negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers persist.

Below is a compiled list, provided by Variety, of productions recently disrupted due to the strike. This list will be regularly updated throughout the strike.

The highly anticipated Tim Burton production, featuring Michael Keaton reprising his role as the irreverent ghost, was on the verge of completion in London. However, the strike interrupted the filming of the final sequence in Vermont.

Deadpool 3

The much-awaited superhero sequel, starring Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds, was in production in the United Kingdom before it was affected by the strike.

Gladiator 2

The action-packed sequel, starring Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, and Pedro Pascal, was filmed in Morocco. The production had made substantial progress, having wrapped up its work in Malta, but has now reached a standstill.

Juror #2

Clint Eastwood’s riveting drama revolving around a murder trial was being filmed in Savannah, Ga. The cast, including Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, Zoey Deutch, Kiefer Sutherland, and Leslie Bibb, had to suspend production due to the strike.

The live-action adaptation of Disney’s beloved animated movie from 2002 was underway in Oahu, Hawaii. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, the production had initially planned to wrap up in early August.

Minecraft

The video game adaptation, starring the talented Jason Momoa, was slated to begin shooting in New Zealand next month. However, its schedule has been affected by the strike.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two

Tom Cruise’s high-octane sequel had finished shooting most of its primary action sequences but still had some filming left. The production took a scheduled hiatus while Cruise, writer-director Christopher McQuarrie, and the rest of the cast promoted “Dead Reckoning Part One,” which premiered in theaters recently.

Mortal Kombat 2

The second installment of the thrilling video game adaptation was filming in Australia before the strike interrupted its progress.

Venom 3
