Christopher McQuarrie is scheduled to write the screnplay for the Wolverine sequel in 2009. In October 2010, it was confirmed that Darren Aronofsky would direct the film but he would later back out of the film saying he was out of the country longer than he expected. But, in 2011 James Mangold was chosen to direct. Mark Bomback was later hired to rewrite McQarries screenplay. But Wolverine focuses on Logan traveling to Japan to train with samurai warriors after losing his memory. Starring Hugh Jackman and will be shot in Australia.
