Lionsgate’s ‘White Bird’ Acting Auditions and Casting Calls for Lead Speaking Roles

Lionsgate’s White Bird is now casting and hiring actors for lead roles.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on the upcoming Lionsgate feature film, White Bird.

Producers are seeking the following roles:

  • Girls between the age of 14-18
    • The character is kind, artistic, imaginative, and well-liked.
  • Boys between the age of 14-18
    • The character is kind, good-natured & very intelligent. Due to a childhood illness, he now walks with crutches.

About White Bird:

Wonder Producers Lionsgate and Mandeville Films are teaming up for another movie adaptation based on R.J. Palacio’s novel, White Bird: A Wonder Story.

Palacio’s Wonder earned a worldwide box office gross of $305 million as a movie starring Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson. Lionsgate is developing the White Bird movie adaptation, and Mandeville Film’s David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce alongside Palacio.

The acquisition and movie development deal was announced Tuesday by Nathan Kahane, president of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. White Bird, the fourth movie in Palacio’s Wonder series and her first graphic novel, centers on the fictional story of the grandmother of Julian, the boy who bullied Aggie Pullman in the original Wonder novel and is set in Nazi-occupied France during the Second World War.

As told by the grandmother to Julian, her grandson, a great life before the war for a young Jewish girl is turned upside down by the Nazi occupation and a boy she and her classmates once shunned her becomes her savior and best friend.
