Des Hamilton Casting is a casting company for film and TV. Our previous work includes War Machine, Pride, Prejudice and Zombies, Top Boy, Four Lions and This is England.

Casting directors are casting for a major Fox Studios feature film to be directed by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) and are looking for a quirky, working class, Caucasian boy, aged 10-12, preferably small for his age with a distinctive look to play the lead role.

Producers are holding an open call at Jada Theater School, 83 Brunswick Road, Southend-On-Sea, Essex, SS1 2UL on Saturday, March 17th from 1:30pm – 5:30pm.

If you fit the brief and would like to audition, Des Hamilton is asking for you to come to the audition between the times above for an informal brief on camera, no need to make an appoint, just show up.

No acting experience is necessary and whoever goes on to feature in the film will be well compensated.

Details surrounding the movie have not been released. However, according to IndieWire, Taika Waititi is teaming up with Jemaine Clement (“Flight of the Conchords”) for a sequel to the What We Do in the Shadows, which was a horror-comedy about a group of vampires who live together in suburban New Zealand.
