The History Channel’s “Vikings” is Now Filming and Casting Extras in Ireland

The History Channel’s original scripted series, Vikings, is now filming and casting extras to appear in the third season.

Vikings had an amazing second season. After only four episodes into the 10 episode season, producers decided to renew the television series for 2015. The second season featured a whopping 3.4 million viewers and is called one of the most compelling, visually stunning dramas on television,” from History general Manager Dirk Hoogstra.

“With its large, passionate and loyal fan base,Vikings has cemented History firmly in the scripted series genre, just as we are the leaders in reality television.”

Vikings centers on Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) a young warrior and family man who wants to find and conquer new lands across the seas. The television series is produced by MGM Television.

Filming for the third season has just started and an open casting call is set for Dublin and Wickow, Ireland.
