Taika Waititi‘s upcoming soccer movie is now casting.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Hawaii.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- SAMOAN MEN AGES 16 – 50 YEARS OLD AND SAMOAN FA’AFAFINE AGES 20 – 30 YEARS OLD
- All applicants must be available mid October – mid December 2019 to film in Hawaii. (travel and accommodations will be provided)
- Soccer and acting experience an advantage but not essential!
About Taika Waititi’s soccer movie:
Deadline reports Taika Waititi will write and direct a movie for Fox Searchlight Pictures. It will be an adaptation on the sports doc directed by Mike Brett and Steve Jamison. The documentary centered around Dutch coach Thomas Rongen’s attempt to take the American Samoa soccer team, which was essentially non-competitive on the world stage, to respectability… and maybe even to the World Cup.
