The director of Oscar award winning movie, ‘12 Years a Slave,’ Steve McQueen is holding an open casting call this weekend in New York City.

According to Indiewire, the award winning director will be holding an open casting call in New York City this weekend for his new HBO TV series.

According to reports, Steve McQueen co-wrote a script with Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z) that centers on  “a young African-American man’s experience entering New York high society, with a past that may not be what it seems … ‘Six Degrees of Separation meets Shame.’”

Earlier this year, casting directors posted a casting call for a leading role in the TV series. Now McQueen is looking for additional talent to work on the upcoming HBO TV series.
