Richard Wright’s ‘Native Son’ Movie Adaptation Open Casting Call

Native Son is now casting stand-ins for scenes filming in Cleveland, Ohio.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on April 9th through May 6th in Cleveland, Ohio.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • Mary Dalton: Caucasian Female 5’8 slim build Prefer Dark Hair
    Mr Dalton: Caucasian Male 5’9 195lbs
    Mrs. Dalton: Caucasian Female 5’10 around 134lbs

About Native Son:

According to reports, A24 has acquired the  rights to Native Son, an movie-adaptation of the Richard Wright novel. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks has written the movie script andartist Rashid Johnson will direct the project, which will take place in the present day in Johnson’s hometown of Chicago.

Margaret Qualley (Novitiate, The Nice Guys), Nick Robinson (Love, Simon, Jurassic World), KiKi Layne (Barry Jenkins’ upcoming If Beale Street Could Talk) and Bill Camp (The Night Of) are also set. Matthew Libatique (Black Swan, Straight Outta Compton) is the reported director of photography on Native Son.

Mary Dalton: Caucasian Female 5’8 slim build Prefer Dark Hair
Mr Dalton: Caucasian Male 5’9 195lbs
Mrs. Dalton: Caucasian Female 5’10 around 134lbs

Shoot Dates: April 9th- May 6th
Shoot Location: Cleveland, OH
Pay Rate: $10hr (Could be up to 12-14hr days)

Will not be needed every day on set but you must have a felixaeble schedule.
