Richard Gere’s “Franny” Extras Casting Call for Cool Hipster Guys in Philadelphia

Casting directors are currently seeking a background extras for Richard Gere in the upcoming feature film “Franny” filming in Philadelphia.

Variety recently reported on the upcoming feature film.

Gere portrays a hedonistic philanthropist who ingratiates himself into the lives of a newlywed couple in order to recreate the life he once had. Andrew Renzi is directing from his own script, which he developed at this year’s Sundance Screenwriters Lab. He directed a the shorts “Karaoke!” and “The Fort,” which premiered at Sundance this year and last year, respectively.

“Franny” producers are Treehouse Pictures, TideRock Media’s Thomas B. Fore and Jason Michael Berman, and Big Shoes Media’s Jay Schuminsky. Exec producers are Magnolia Entertainment’s Shelley Browning and Michael Diamond, Soaring Flight Productions’ Ruth Mutch and QED’s John Friedberg.

 ‘Franny’ Casting Call Information

We are looking for 2 musicians (one-trumpet, one trombone) for a scene in “Franny.”

Must be “hip, cool-looking” guys who have their own instruments, age 25-30- and MUST be available for shooting in the Philadelphia area on Monday- Tuesday, Nov 4-5.

SAG or SAG waiver possible.
