Producers of ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Are Now Casting Speaking Roles

Producers of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the director of The Hamiltons are filming a new horror movie Star Light in Kentucky and are now casting talent to appear in the movie.

This week, Orama Filmworks is holding a casting call for the movie that will be filmed in Graves County.

Directed by Lee Cummings, “Star Light” is the story of a teen whose life is turned upside down when he helps a world-famous pop star on the run from her violent pursuers.

Wednesday’s auditions for supporting cast and film crew positions will be held at Murray State University from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Applied Science Building, 100 N. Oakley in Murray.

The roles available include:

  • Tex – football type, athletic, plays 18-22
  • Monty – male, plays 18-22
  • Rahem – male, plays 40’s
  • Reverend Gill – male, plays 50’s
  • Limo driver – male, plays 30’s

Film Crew Positions:

  • Production Assistants
  • Wardrobe
  • Makeup
  • Grip
  • Production Coordinator
  • Sound-mixer and Boom operator
  • Assistant Camera

The film will also need extras – male/female party-goer – plays 18-22.  Staurulakis says extras will be cast in October after the speaking roles have been filled.

“Star Light” will be filmed Oct. 30-Nov. 17
