Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) is hiring an Arts Producer/Reporter.

Job Description: “Researches, writes, and supervises shooting & editing of arts and culture stories, primarily for ‘Oregon Art Beat’ to be aired on OPB TV and posted on OPB website. Provides voice narration for programs/segments and develops/produces related on-line expanded content such as videos, articles, or Facebook/other social media posts. Makes appearances on behalf of OPB/OAB.” Steven M. Bass, President and CEO; Debbie Rotich, VP Human Resources. Position is full-time, exempt with benefits, beginning Sept. 2012 and based in Portland, OR.

Seeking—Producer/Reporter: male or female, 25+, requires three yrs. professional producer experience of quality TV programs, candidate must have on-camera experience, strong TV script-writing skills, experience with creating online content, and be self-motivated with the ability to set own schedule and meet production deadlines, position requires travel for up to a week at a time, sometimes in remote locations, must relate comfortably with a wide range of people, and be able to collaborate and create with others in the production team, must have strong computer skills and familiarity with Adobe editing and Photoshop, and social media, should have willingness to embrace new technology, valid driver’s license and clean driving record required, must be comfortable making public appearances on behalf of OPB, and have enthusiasm for and understanding of the mission of Oregon Public Broadcasting.
