Paramount Pictures and Selma Productions will be holding an open casting call for extras to appear in the upcoming movie “Selma”.

The upcoming feature film “Selma” centers on the three marches from Selma to Montgomery in 1965. The first which was known as “Bloody Sunday” because cops attacked marchers with clubs and gas. The protesters were seeking an equal voice in elections, which they later got with the passage of the Voting Rights Act later that year.

It was recently announced that Oprah Winfrey and Brad Pitt teamed up to produce the Martin Luther King Jr biopic.

According to AL.comParamount Pictures and Selma Productions Inc. will host an open casting call for extras in the upcoming filming of “Selma” from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on June 10 at the John Abernathy Auditorium.

Paramount Pictures and Selma Productions Inc. have rescheduled the open casting call for extras in the upcoming filming of “Selma” to June 9 at John Abernathy Auditorium.

The production company, which will film scenes in Selma on June 23 through June 26 as well as in Montgomery on June 27, is casting 500 extras for the movies. Candidates must: Be 17 to 70 years old, bring valid photo ID, a recent photo, able to work in the U.S., and attend a fitting in June.
