Martin Scorsese‘s HBO Series ‘Vinyl’ Casting Call in New York City.

The new HBO series, ‘Vinyl’ explores the drugs and sex of the 1970’s New York music business as disco and punk music were on the rise.

According to Variety, the show will be depicted through the eyes of Cannavale’s Richie Finestra, a record exec trying to build a record label and find the next new sound.

Olivia Wilde is set to play Devon Finestra, Richie’s wife and former actress/model who attempts to deal with the Richie’s crisis as it causes strain on their family and relationship.

Martin Scorsese is set to direct the pilot, which is written by Terence Winter of “The Wolf of Wall Street” and George Mastras from “Breaking Bad” with Mastras working as the show runner.

Martin Scorsese held an open casting call for extras a year ago in New York City. Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for people to play drag queens and college students and a ton of other featured roles.

Seeking NONUNION men with medium length/long hair to portray LA Types at a Malibu Industry Party for the Martin Scorsese & Mick Jagger produced series Vinyl. Age range 20-55. Fitting tomorrow TUESDAY 8/18 in Brooklyn, NY. Work dates are MONDAY 8/24 & TUESDAY 8/25. Must live in the tri-state area.
