Louisiana Casting: ‘Queen Sugar’ is Now Hiring New Stand-ins

Queen Sugar is now hiring new stand-ins to work on a scene filming on Tuesday, May 23rd. Casting directors are looking for people to work on a scene filming in Vacherie. Casting directors are now hiring stand-ins:

  1. CAUCASIAN FEMALE 5’9 to 5’11 (Still submit if you are 5’8). Preference will go to those with red hair but will accept brown hair as well. (call time is 7:45AM)
  2. CAUCASIAN MALE 5’9 to 5’11 with brownish hair (call time is 7:45AM)
  3. AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE 6’0 to 6’3 (medium to dark skin) (Call time is 3PM)

About Queen Sugar:

Queen Sugar is an upcoming drama TV series, created, directed and executive produced by Ava DuVernay alongside Oprah Winfrey. The series is based on novel with same name by Natalie Baszile. Queen Sugar follows the life of two sisters, Nova Bordelon (playing by Rutina Wesley), the formidable journalist and activist from New Orleans, and Charley Bordelon (Dawn-Lyen Gardner), a modern woman, who, with her teenage daughter Micah, leaves her upscale apartment in Los Angeles and moves to the heart of Louisiana to claim an inheritance from her recently departed father – an 800-acre sugarcane farm.
